4th Annual Raft for the Cure 2010

Our journey began with a beautiful 40 minute drive up the Colorado River corridor. Once we arrived at the 'put in spot' called Hittle Bottom, the river guides asked for a few volunteers to float down in the kayaks. Immediately smiles covered both our faces, and with out hesitation we volunteered.  Life Jackets check... Paddles check, We were ready to go!

The river guides told us the water levels were starting to decline and most of the river was fairly tame. Fear not, we encountered quite a few fun class 1 & 2 rapids that got us giggling. The morning quickly turned to afternoon and before we knew it, it was time to stop for lunch. We pulled off at the riverside Red Cliffs Ranch, where Burgers and Dogs were hot on the grill.
Back in action we are about to hit the famous "Whites Rapid"
Somewhere in the rapids, we hit a bump and up I went landing flat on my back. Bursts of laughter was all I could hear behind me.
