Day 6 - Grand Cayman

Hell is laden with short spikes of eerie-looking black rock that look like lava in the aftermath of a volcano. However these black rocks are not volcanic, instead they consist of limestone and the rock field is roughly half the size of a soccer field.
Hell is one of those places whose origins are shrouded in mystery. Some say a U.S. President exclaimed that it was "hot as Hell" there. Others claim that a commissioner from England, out hunting, missed the bird he was shooting at. "Oh Hell!" he exclaimed. Some of the stories derive from the rocks. One such is that if a pebble is thrown out among the rocks, it rattles through the ridges and furrows. The sound it makes is as though it’s falling all the way down to Hell. Alternatively, one of the rock formations is said to look like the Devil himself. No wonder the place is named Hell.
We all got to send ourselves post cards,
that will be postmarked from hell.
We visited the Tortuga Rum Company, where they had all the free samples of rum and rum cake you could stomach..... it was delicious.
We visited the turtle farm...
and each took turns holding them.
Next we took an excursion to swim with stingrays. After a 15 minute boat ride, we arrived at a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. We geared up with snorkels & cameras, then we hit the water.
Our guides broke out the bait (squid) and the rays came out of no where. These huge  WILD fish were swimming all around us. On occasion one would brush your leg... it was kinda frightening!
I got the opportunity to hold a ray, there bellies were so soft and silky. I fed him some squid... his teeth were not sharp, but his jaws were super strong... mashing my thumb as he took the food.
The crew found 3 conch shells while we were at the sand bar. They showed us how to remove the snails and then proceeded to eat bits of them. It was SO gross!!! The crew claimed the snails were quite good, and tired to convince me that they tasted like coconut.
