Adams Canyon

From the valley floor, Adams Canyon appears no different from any other ordinary canyon along the Wasatch Front. The trail head is just off highway 89, above Layton. The first 15 minutes of the hike is horrible, barren sandy switch backs in full sun. Once inside the canyon, the white firs and babbling creek make it worth it.
The trek is only 3.6 miles,  perfect for the beginning hiker. The trail follows the creek closely and offers plenty of places to stop and get wet. The elevation gain was around 1,300 ft and let me tell you... My little calves are still feeling it!
Waiting for you at the top, is a stunning 40 foot waterfall.
Alright who wants to go?
