This was my very first race... and I wasn't even sure I could do it. Moki, Tate, Mom and I headed to the Laketown Park at 7:30 am. A sea of yellow filled the picnic area. 300+ racers lined up and the horn went off and I started running. It was so crowded and quite chaotic for the first 5 minutes... till people started to space out. I had my ipod going and I told myself it doesn't matter how long it takes, just don't stop. About half way through the run we turned and went up the mountain. On my way down I rolled my left ankle and immediately burst into tears. I hopped along, foot and angle throbbing. I slowly started to walk and then made myself run. I was NOT going to quit! After 32 minutes and 58 seconds, I crossed the finish line!
